Prenatal Chiropractic... Could it help me?

Updated: Feb 16, 2022

Q: How can a prenatal chiropractor help me in pregnancy?

A: Great question! It all depends what your goals are for this pregnancy. We’ll help you come up with a road map.

Some moms want to stay active & exercising during pregnancy. In the 1st trimester there a lot of relaxin release & that can definitely affect spinal alignment and muscular tension when things get loosey goosey.

Relaxin is the hormone that allows ligaments to stretch to prepare for body changes and birth.

For other moms they may have a chief complaint of low back pain or pubic bone pain, or possibly little one isn’t head down, etc.

Some moms want to discuss diet and lifestyle factors or how to stay healthiest and active. We might discuss things like what foods are helpful for brain development in your little one, how often to eat to stabilize blood sugar, etc. We might discuss what routine and healthy movement looks like to help prepare your body for a natural birth, if that is what you want.

It really just depends what your goals are and how we can work together to help get you there! Our paperwork is pretty intense for that reason.

We are more than happy to schedule a complimentary consultation to see if we're the right fit for your birth team.
