In today's world we live in a ever increasing toxic environment. We are exposed to external toxins on a daily basis: air, water, & soil pollutants, food preservatives, dyes & colorings, pesticides, chemical cleaners, fire-retardant chemicals, etc.
There are approximately 80,000 chemicals registered for use in the U.S.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that hundreds of these chemicals are present in our bodies. Research has shown that many of these chemicals can disrupt our immune, endocrine, nervous, and reproductive systems.
Internally our bodies produce waste by-products as a result of normal metabolic function. Although your body is designed to rid itself of these toxins naturally, it can become overburdened by stress, overuse, and poor nutrition.
The toxicants are then forced back into the blood supply by the hepatocytes (liver cells), creating feelings of poor health, such as brain fog. To try to spare us of those nasty feelings, our bodies will store the toxic load in other tissues, such as fat.
(This is why if you lose weight too rapidly you may feel terrible at first!)
A good detoxification offers your body additional support to expel and metabolize the toxic build up. For the best results it is important to use a well-rounded detoxification program that supports all metabolic processes and stabilizes blood sugar, while monitoring measurable outcomes.
Toxicant Levels for
Preconception, Autism, & Developmental Delays
"Parents of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) demonstrated a significantly higher frequency of estimated occupational exposure to chemicals during the preconception period compared with parents of non-autistic children with intellectual disability, and TD children.

Potential susceptibilities to toxicants implicated in some individuals with ASD—including:
-
altered detoxification
-
genetic factors
-
lower glutathione levels
-
oxidative stress
-
altered neuronal development & synaptic function
-
hormonal factors
could act synergistically and amplify the adverse effects of toxicants during critical periods of neurodevelopment, particularly during the prenatal and early postnatal periods." - Translational Psychiatry volume 4, page e360 (2014)
Health Concerns:
If you have any known health concerns it is strongly encouraged you complete a detoxification program under the supervision of your doctor.

We try to emphasis that progress is measured by objective, reproducible measures, not strictly based on removal of symptoms or weight loss.
